Layered snowflake files separate the base and accent points onto distinct layers. Cut each from a different cardstock or foil tone, then stack them so the points catch the light. A fresh fine-point blade and a slower cut speed keep the thin tips sharp.
White or iridescent white cardstock gives the most contrast on a dark background, and pearlescent stock adds shine under angled light. For a softer look, try pale blue or silver-grey. Heavier 80-100lb cardstock holds the fine points.
